well, hi.

I planned on writing, really I did. I even brought my laptop with me. But we were just so busy. And when we weren't, I sort of liked being unplugged!

We spent the last week staying at a friends (gorgeous!) cabin in Old Forge. We surprised the kids. Just packed up their stuff, told them we were running errands and ended up in Old Forge.

We hiked

 and kayaked

 and went to the beach

and finally ended up in Enchanted Forest for the last two days

We've been planning this trip for months, and the weather ended up being perfect - or rather we ended up being in the perfect place for the weather! It was so hot, so being by a beach and a water park was so, so good.

There are many more pictures I'd love to share, it really was an amazing week. But I'm exhausted now, and there's still a very busy weekend ahead.

Hoping everyone else stayed cool this week!

Looks like an amazing vacation! Easy and laid back is always perfect in my book.

Thanks for your comment on post about going gray. I enjoyed the poem.

That looks like fun! We unplugged last week, too. Though I haven't fully plugged myself back in yet. lol

I need to point something out to you. You've posted about your weight before. This is the first time I see a full length photo of you and I need to say that you look like a healthy woman and not at all as overweight as you perceive yourself. (This sounds funny to me - what I'm trying to say is I think you look fabulous. K?)

Jodi - Thanks ;D

In that photo I'm actually about 15 lbs lighter than I was in April when I ranted about my weight! I'm hoping to lose about 15 more, but I'm taking it really (really!) slow.
